Ear Cropping

Dr. Young has over 25 years of experience with cosmetic ear cropping of all breeds. His skill and technique are very precise and accurate. He specializes in Dobermans, Boxers, Bullie’s, Schnauzers, Great Danes, Cane Corso’s.

The most crucial part to this surgery being successful is getting the surgery done at a young age. The longer you wait, and the longer crop you want, the more difficult it is for ears to stand properly. 8 weeks is ideal (especially with longer cuts), 12 weeks would be a standard cut off for short crops. They can be done after these ages but the outcome becomes more variable.

Prior to scheduling your ear crop, we will set up a consultation to discuss your desired length. There are several different crop lengths and styles including but not limited to short, medium, long, show crop. A great way to decide what crop you are wanting is to look at google images and bringing those images with you for your consult. Below are examples of cuts that we do.
